Accessibility Statement
Conformance status: FHR aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and is actively working toward full conformance.
Our Commitment
FHR believes every independent worker — regardless of ability — deserves equal access to our research, tools, and resources. Accessibility is a design requirement, not an afterthought.
What We Have Done
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy and landmark elements
- Skip navigation link on every page for keyboard users
- All interactive elements accessible by keyboard
- Color contrast meeting or exceeding WCAG AA ratios
- ARIA labels on navigation, forms, and interactive elements
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Responsive design usable at all screen sizes and zoom levels up to 400%
- Support for prefers-reduced-motion
Known Limitations
- Some PDF guides may not be fully tagged for screen readers — remediation in progress
- Interactive calculators may not be fully optimized for all assistive technologies
